Cocoa Brown Sugar Deerioca Milk – The Alley

My friend and I went to go see Belle at the Spectrum, and our movie ended 10 minutes before the Alley closed, so we obviously needed to go get boba post movie! I was thinking that our 6:35 movie is basically 2 hours long, so we would barely make it in time for The Alley closing at 9…we did skip the credits, but did make it in for boba, so all is well…

So even though I did have a chocolate drink from Soma recently, today was the perfect day and time for me to try out The Alley’s Cocoa version of their Brown sugar Deerioca, since it’s late at night and this drink has no caffeine in it.

Like its description, this drink is basically a chocolate milk once thoroughly mixed with their brown sugar boba. With Omomo’s chocolate latte as a comparison, that one had a much richer chocolate flavor, and that tasted more like a cold, hot chocolate. The Alley’s really tastes like chocolate milk, which I don’t think is a bad thing considering that’s really what it is. It’s a good drink, since I like chocolate milk, ha! Boba is great, has that distinctive brown sugar flavor to it that their brown sugar boba always has.
